ABOUT US

Olivetto's was established in Red Hill in 1996. Paul and Kim Newsham took over in 2004 and the restaurant flourished. The restaurant offers a quality dining experience and catering for special occasions.

Olivetto's has three distinct areas.
    • Inside dining room area
    • Alfresco courtyard – with soft candlelight making it a favourite for romantic dinners.
    • Upstairs function room.

Chef Owner Paul Newsham is a 35 year old lad from Lancashire, England. His culinary career began at the age of 16 and led him to London where he notched third position in the UK National Young Chef of the Year.

Paul met his lovely South African wife Kim in London and then spent 4 years as a Head Chef in Durban. He then had a stint as Head Chef at a 5 star hotel in Beverly Hills. In August 2002 the Newsham family decided to migrate to Australian shores.

Paul landed himself the Head Chef position here at Olivetto's. Fate was working its magic in 2005 when Paul and Kim seized the opportunity to buy Olivetto's themselves. It has been a family run affair since then with Kim's mother Pat joining the team as well.

Paul's menus are modern European with eclectic twists. He is also a dessert "guru". A dining experience at Olivetto's has to end with one of his sweet creations. It is the Newshams' passion that keeps them going and it's this very trait that sets them apart from the rest.
